Details Emerge in Tameka Foster's Botched Plastic Surgery Emergency Celebrity news is bleak these days as it all seems to be about the trickling out of details surrounding people's bruises and botched surgeries. While we're learning more and more about Rihanna's injuries by the hour, we've also learned more about Usher's wife's health scare, brought about by botched plastic surgery done in Brazil. Tameka Foster suffered a "medical emergency" over the weekend, which is now being attributed to a liposuction procedure gone wrong.


While Usher and Foster's camp has done everything in its power to keep details of her surgery under wraps, it doesn't seem to be panning out to be a realistic goal. A rep for Sao Paulo's Sirio-Libanes hospital told the Agence France-Presse, "The family has demanded total privacy. The hospital is barred from giving any information." The rep did confirm that Tameka is in stable condition.


The hospital rep's statement is in keeping with the statement released by Usher's rep, which read, "Tameka Raymond is in stable condition after suffering complications from routine surgery in Brazil. Her husband Usher is with her at the hospital. No further details will be released, and the family requests privacy at this difficult time."


But the demand for total privacy didn't stop the news site G1 from getting into details of what went wrong (although whether or not the details are true, it still seems a bit too soon to say). The site claims that Foster was rushed into the intensive care unit on Friday when she went into cardiac and respiratory arrest during a liposuction procedure. She was reportedly being anesthetized at the time. Foster was then placed in an induced coma to stabilize her for 24 hours.


Kind of makes elective, totally unnecessary surgery seem kind of ridiculous, doesn't it?
